What a day in the life of a female entrepreneur running a brand & web design studio looks like!
(The honest version)
10am-12:30am
Mornings usually start off with me laying in bed checking my email, which can add up if its a Monday (Mind blowing, I know). Sometimes I try to relax and take the weekend off, and end up working anyway because its literally the only thing on my mind 24/7. #justgirlyentrepreneurthings
Although I have most of my posts scheduled to go up using Planoly, I try to proofread them before they go out to the world! After that I usually post to my story and watch it between 3-5 times to delay the inevitable….
Client calls.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love every single one of my clients and am so glad I get the chance to chat and discuss design BUT… Your girl is an introvert and even still dreads calling the doctor I’ve known since I was 8. If I have any client calls I try to get those done before lunch, because who wants to be worrying about what to say in a call while trying to stuff cheese and crackers in your mouth!
12:30pm-4pm?
After client calls I usually take about 1-2 hours off because talking to people can drain a lot out of ya! Once i’ve recovered from from my first mental breakdown of the day, I check my todo list.
If I were in a cult for anything, it would be for Notion. I am the weird one that tries to convert my friends and my family, because you have no idea what a lifesaver it is on the daily! (for those of you who are Notion virgins, its like the notes app but on steroids)
If I’m in the middle of a client project, my days are usually spend brainstorming, looking at inspo, or designing while watching a show ( right now my guilty pleasure is Good Trouble ).
If I’ve just finished a client project I spend my time brainstorming content ideas for the next month, filming cringey reels I will regret in 5 years, or thinking about what else to improve or add to my business to better help my ideal client!
4pm – Who knows??
Although my business hours are 10-5 (and oog girl, I try my hardest to stick to that and keep the balance) I’m most productive at night after 4 pm…. sooooo 11pm is usually peak productivity time (oops)
And thats my work day!
✨ Lets be honest introverts with anxiety, if there are not 1-3 mental break downs, is it a productive day?
